Shoots! I didn't mean to be away for so long. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I last posted a blog here on my site. Well, consider me negligent! One thing is for sure, I have not been negligent in providing the best hawaiian style massage I can possibly give to hundreds of Maui visitors over the last year. 2011 has been an excellent year, lots of returning guests, many many amazing YELP users and quite a few who luckily stumble upon this little web page.
Over the last year I have had my husband, Nico, working for me much more. As the Spa Moana at the Kaanapali Hyatt undergoes big changes, Nico has been more available for private work. Be sure to request Nico if you have a specific therapeutic issue you want to work through while you are on Maui. His deep tissue work is some of the best you can get.
I've been busy taking care of Na Alii clients, but also managing a small beachfront day spa in Makena. Three days a week I am on Maluaka Beach with stunning views and cool sea breezes providing massage right on the beach. If beachside massage interests you, just ask me about the day spa when you call. I am there MON TUES and FRI from 9-2.
We recently did a photo shoot with Marty Guerriero of Relax Therapeutic Massage and it was alot of fun. Marty has an oceanview lanai in which we do couples massages located near Wailea. The photographer was Jenny Schomaker of Phoenix who was visiting for a month with her children. She is super fun and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Phoenix area.
Stay tuned for new pictures of some locations where you can have your massage.
Hope the summer is treating you well.

Aloha!
Living here in Maui time either flies by or feels like it's standing still. I'd say lately, it's flying! So much to do to get ready for the Holiday tourist rush. Thanksgiving is almost upon us and then Hannukah, Christmas and New Year's. Before you know it, South Kihei Road is full of traffic, the beaches are packed, restaurants are hard to get into and more importantly, the whales are back! Holiday season means Whale season here in Maui.
So before all the visitors descend upon us, make your appointments now. If you are coming to Maui for the holidays, Na Alii Massage is here to help you unwind. My husband, Nico, is working for me much more these days and you do not want to miss his amazing massage. We've got Rhonda, the lomi lomi goddess, Nicole a little powerhouse, Christina, fresh off the plane from Pennsylvania and bringing her mainland skills to Na Alii, Jill-our perennial favorite and yours truly.
If coming back to the island after being away for a year or so, check out the new restaurant offering at the entrance to Wailea, Pita Paradise. Super yummy. There is a Subway Sandwich there too. We've got Whole Foods in Kahului since you've been here last and the Maui Prince is undergoing major renovations and is now under the direction of Charles Sweeney as Maui Beach & Golf Resort. Mr. Sweeney created and built the Kea Lani hotel before he sold it to Fairmont. He is a local resident and will do some pretty amazing things in Makena.
My husband and I will be off island for Hannukah, cruising the Mexican Riviera with our mothers. We will not be doing massage from December 3-12 and someone will be answering our phones.
Safe Travels during this Holiday Season.

Pita Paradise in Wailea
Kihei favorite, Pita Paradise, is now open in the new Wailea Gateway Center. There is also a Subway shop. Good news for Wailea, new low cost dining choices.....
Looking forward to a busy summer and looking forward to working on you!

Ed Klouda was one of our most favorite clients. He and his lovely wife, Char Les, spend every winter in Maui for over 30 years. Nico and I started working on Ed about 4 years ago. Every Friday at 3 pm he would get a massage from either myself or Nico and most times both of us together for a four-handed experience. He was full of life and great stories. Ed didn't make it to Maui last winter and this year he passed on. We would just like to say A Hui Hou Ed! Mahalo for touching our lives forever.
We will be purchasing a lantern for Ed and carrying it in the Lantern Floating Ceremony at Lahaina Jodo Mission on July 3rd. The Lantern Floating Ceremony is part of Bon Dance and the Obon Season here on Maui.
